The Drake & Zeke Show

Drake & Zeke is the top-rated morning show in MemphisTN, airing on 98.1 The Max (WXMX-FM) within a 100 mile radius covering 4 states and online at www.981themax.com and www.drakezeke.com.  Drake & Zeke is an entertainment-based, issue and lifestyle inclusive radio program that is consistently ranked number one for men and adults aged 25-54 in the Memphis radio market.

It has been voted “Best Drive Time Show” for the past seven years by readers of the Memphis Flyer, and “Best Radio Show” by readers of The Commercial Appeal in 2009 and 2010. Drake & Zeke broadcasts live Monday through Friday, 6 - 10 am. Drake & Zeke After Dark is an edited rebroadcast which airs Monday through Thursday 7 - 11 pm.

Recent guests have included US legislators including Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam, Congressman Steve Cohen and local and civic leaders such as Mayor A C Wharton, City Councilman Shea Flinn, District Attorney General Amy Weirich and Southaven Mayor Greg Davis. Rolling Stone contributing Editor Matt Taibbi appears regularly as well as authors Tony Hendra & Ron Kessler and novelists David Baldacci, Carl Hiaasen, Pat Conroy, Stephen Hunter, Dean Koontz, Ace Atkins and James Lee Burke. The show has also been honored to feature the late author Robert B. Parker. Consumer advocate Clark Howard along with Arianna Huffington, garden expert P. Allen Smith, handicapper Ellis Starr, and CBS Travel Editor Peter Greenberg also make regular appearances.

The PinkPalace, The Memphis Zoo, Shelby Farms, The Brooks Museum of Art, Memphis Animal Shelter, and The Botanic Garden are regularly spotlighted. 

The show occasionally includes national health experts and doctors as well as those in the sports realm such as Mike Florio from profootballtalk.com, coaches and General Managers from collegiate and professional sports teams, and national sports broadcasters Mitch Williams, Rich Eisen, Harold Reynolds and Mike Shannon. Writers from the Commercial Appeal, The Memphis Flyer,The Memphis Daily News and CBSSports.com are also regular contributors.
